Actually, they are full housing shells with a full set of buttons for the Nintendo Switch, without any electronic parts. Requires customers to take apart the Joycon to replace the original Joycon shells and buttons. Requires customers with moderate electronic modification experience.

Installation Tips: Installation difficulty: High; Time spent: 4 hours or more; Patience needed: High. Go slow, check every connection, keep your screws organized, and watch a YouTube video on how to do it, pausing and replaying often. When reassembling the Joycons, be conscious of how tight you are tightening the screws, as that will affect how your buttons press. Use a Tri-wing screwdriver to remove the Joycon outer screws, and be careful not to strip the 4 outer triangle screws or over-tighten any screws. There are multiple delicate ribbon cables in the Joycon that need to be removed and reattached. Use tweezers instead of bulky fingers to handle the small pieces. The ZR and ZL on the Joycons are spring-loaded, so be careful when opening.
